Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Hamburgberg's Edson Rosa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Rosa in the 4th minute of play forced Itanhi's goalkeeper Mané Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Edson Rosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mané Netto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Edson Rosa struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Mané Netto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hamburgberg. Itanhi's Mané Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico de Senna in the 10th minute of play. Mané Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Moura in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gildo Pires saved Hamburgberg from getting behind. Mané Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Rosa in the 17th minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Anselmo de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itanhi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo de Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mané Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Rosa in the 28th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Itanhi's zone, Edson Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mané Netto came out of the goal and Edson Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, Edson Rosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mané Netto. Itanhi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edson Rosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Edson Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Mané Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mané Netto came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Hamburgberg's Edson Rosa. But to his dismay, Edson Rosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafael Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. Geraldo Madureira charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geraldo Madureira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd match minute, Hamburgberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geraldo Madureira to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Mané Netto managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Hamburgberg's Frederico de Senna fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Itanhi's Mané Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Rosa in the 63rd minute of play. Geraldo Madureira hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Edson Rosa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mané Netto came out and tried to block the shot, but Edson Rosa slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 69th minute. Rafael Moura took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gildo Pires. Gildo Pires dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. If Frederico de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th match minute, Hamburgberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Gildo Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Frederico de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Itanhi booed when Hamburgberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo de Almeida in the 96th minute of play forced Hamburgberg's goalkeeper Gildo Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Hamburgberg could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Itanhi throughout the match.
