In the 4th minute, Guga Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kléberson Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Kléberson Baiano took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tano Di Paolo. Tano Di Paolo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Maricá Fc booed when Poeirama FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão Dante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maricá Fc's Guga Moreira got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tano Di Paolo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Freitas in the 17th minute of the match. Tano Di Paolo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 31st minute, Betão Dante made a precise shot to the right of Tano Di Paolo. Maricá Fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 34th minute Hélio Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tano Di Paolo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tano Di Paolo came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Poeirama FC's Kléberson Baiano. But to his dismay, Kléberson Baiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hélio Silveira was the one to do the kick off. Kléberson Baiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Tano Di Paolo made a huge save. Cícero Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute, Marco Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th minute Hélio Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tano Di Paolo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacinto Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tano Di Paolo having to interfere. If Guga Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Bueno in the 75th minute of play forced Poeirama FC's goalkeeper Cícero Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Bueno scored 1-3 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cícero Madureira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tano Di Paolo was a little too slow when Hélio Silveira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-4. 88 minutes into the match, Maricá Fc's goalkeeper Tano Di Paolo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kléberson Baiano. In the 88th match minute, Maricá Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Amaral to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Hélio Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st match minute, Maricá Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Amaral to maneuver through the defense.
