The referee ignored Pombinhos SC's protests and gave Arnaldo Seco a yellow card for diving instead. Arnaldo Seco hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomé Furtado got free with Kaká Pires in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiago Gabriel Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. With a little luck, Quiobal AD's Orlando Esteves got control of the ball when Jarbas Peres tried to sneak it across the goal line.
