Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Manoel Motta got the match started through his kick off. Luizão Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco de Queiroz in the 6th minute of play. Caco de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão Almeida having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Hílton Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luizão Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manoel Motta's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After 24 played minutes Chaves got a freekick which was hit by Matías Miranda. After a rather tough play, Chaves's Sabino de Alcântara got a free kick in the 29th minute. Dorival Hermes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ramiro Borges. Chaves's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match Matías Miranda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luizão Almeida showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Chaves's Manoel Motta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luizão Almeida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Caco de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manoel Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Luizão Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Chaves's goal looked a bit too open when Eugênio Mangueira came free, but Ramiro Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugênio Mangueira to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Igaroi EC's goal looked a bit too open when Manoel Motta came free, but Luizão Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hílton Aguiar hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Sabino de Alcântara sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Igaroi EC's Luizão Almeida didn't even have to move. Igaroi EC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Manoel Motta 60 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. When Pedrinho Peres fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Igaroi EC's protests and gave Pedrinho Peres a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Igaroi EC's Luizão Almeida got control of the ball when Caco de Queiroz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manoel Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão Almeida having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Caco de Queiroz put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Luizão Almeida. If Eugênio Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manoel Motta stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Igaroi EC's defenders and the ball went out. Chaves appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. Eugênio Mangueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramiro Borges read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Manoel Motta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chaves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Igaroi EC the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Chaves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Motta to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Igaroi EC's zone, Caco de Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luizão Almeida came out of the goal and Caco de Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eugênio Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Geovânio Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Igaroi EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovânio Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro Borges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Igaroi EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chaves's performance. The match ended with a win for Chaves.
