After a defensive mix-up in Ipixuna's zone, Erik Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Quirino came out of the goal and Erik Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roberto Quirino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik Tinoco went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Martins in the 30th minute of play forced Botucatu EC's goalkeeper Augusto Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulão Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Martins in the 34th minute of the match. Paulão Macedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Augusto Ramalho made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The wind increased when Dinei Martins made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Botucatu EC's Charles Marques got a free kick in the 51st minute. Edmundo Barbosa didn't quite understand what happened when in the 53 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 56th minute Dinei Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Ipixuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamim Faustino to maneuver through the defense. If Erik Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Régis de Brito struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Roberto Quirino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Botucatu EC. With a little luck, Ipixuna's Roberto Quirino got control of the ball when Régis de Brito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Augusto Ramalho came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Ipixuna's Paulão Macedo. But to his dismay, Paulão Macedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After having played for 74 minutes, Dinei Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipixuna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinei Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th match minute, Botucatu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilmar Quaresma to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute Dinei Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 78 minutes Botucatu EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gilberto Hoffmann who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Gilberto Hoffmann got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Augusto Ramalho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
