The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Almir Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 肖益源 in the 14th minute of play. When Christian Machado fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cupins SS's protests and gave Christian Machado a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Cupins SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilmar Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the game, José Vítor Zilles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cupins SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Club WillBert the free kick. The supporters of Sport Club WillBert booed when Cupins SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Vítor Zilles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Sport Club WillBert's Celsinho de Barros got a free kick in the 34th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Cupins SS's Paulo de Alcântara tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Club WillBert's zone, Wilson Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Paulo Coelho came out of the goal and Wilson Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute 肖益源 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cupins SS's José Vítor Zilles got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After 46 minutes Cupins SS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. Carlos Eduardo Costa took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Paulo Coelho. Almir Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 狄政竞, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute.
