Cacomera SC's Jonathan Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Godoi in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, CANTONEIRA's goal looked a bit too open when Denílson Soeiro came free, but Vivaldo Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ernesto Dracena fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cacomera SC's protests and gave Ernesto Dracena a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, Ernesto Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wellington Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jonathan Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to CANTONEIRA getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Douglas Félix hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Agenor Brodel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vivaldo Jacinto was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. The long shot by Nelsinho Tinoco in the 24th minute really tested Jonathan Neto's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of CANTONEIRA booed when Cacomera SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cacomera SC's zone, Wellington Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Neto came out of the goal and Wellington Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Alberto Vides could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Jonathan Neto made a huge save. Wellington Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

53 minutes into the match, Cacomera SC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Vides came free, but Jonathan Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to CANTONEIRA getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Douglas Félix hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Wellington Godoi put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Neto. Douglas Félix charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Douglas Félix the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th match minute, CANTONEIRA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Félix to maneuver through the defense. Agenor Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Vivaldo Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wellington Godoi in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wellington Godoi spun around in front of the goal 81 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Cacomera SC's goal. Wellington Godoi scored 3-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Neto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Cacomera SC defense, Carlos Alberto Vides kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Neto. The Cacomera SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Neto should have stopped the shot. If Wellington Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CANTONEIRA fully deserved thier win.
