The Poxoreu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luan Messias should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Poxoreu getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jefferson Cerezo hit a great ball. Luan Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Tasso in the 12th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Gonçalo Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poxoreu's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonçalo Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joélson de Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leyo's Joélson de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Barral in the 17th minute of play. When Leyo's Naldo Tasso in 19 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Luan Messias guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Naldo Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Luan Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poxoreu's goalkeeper Luan Messias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Tasso in the 31st minute of play forced Poxoreu's goalkeeper Luan Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dráusio Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Leyo's zone, Gonçalo Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joélson de Carvalho came out of the goal and Gonçalo Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Naldo Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopoldo Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Joélson de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leyo's Dráusio Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute Naldo Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luan Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poxoreu's Luan Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Tasso in the 73rd minute of play. Luan Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naldo Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Naldo Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dráusio Torres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luan Messias having to make a save. Leyo's Joélson de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Barral in the 82nd minute of play. Dudu Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Luan Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joélson de Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leopoldo Salgado in the 97th minute. The Poxoreu players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Leyo from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
