Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Lino Leão charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lino Leão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th match minute, Itaiuba SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Leão to maneuver through the defense. When Egídio Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Itaiuba SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egídio Travassos couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Los Míticos FC booed when Itaiuba SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Los Míticos FC's João Francisco Barros seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed João Francisco Barros the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Los Míticos FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and João Francisco Barros had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Luís Fabiano Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Egídio Travassos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Luís Fabiano Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Laerte de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Los Míticos FC's Luís Paulo Schmidt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Válter Baptista narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Válter Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson Bueno in the 34th minute of play. Válter Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Paulo Schmidt in the 35th minute of the match. Luís Paulo Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Los Míticos FC's Luís Paulo Schmidt got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Itaiuba SS's zone, Nilson Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válter Baptista came out of the goal and Nilson Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Nilson Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Míticos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilson Bueno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Los Míticos FC's Luís Paulo Schmidt got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Paulo Schmidt to strike the kick off in the second half. Válter Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Paulo Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute Luís Paulo Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Válter Baptista was a little too slow when Luís Paulo Schmidt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 2-1. Nilson Bueno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Válter Baptista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Válter Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Paulo Schmidt in the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Nilson Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Itaiuba SS getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. João Moreira hit a great ball. Válter Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo Schmidt in the 75th minute of play. Luís Paulo Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th match minute, Itaiuba SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique de Senna to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute Egídio Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fabiano Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
