Osvaldinho Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manoel Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Dias in the 16th minute of play forced Gertrudes's goalkeeper Breno Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Pirani having to interfere. Antônio Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Breno Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manoel Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Real Madruga's Antônio Dias in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gertrudes's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 35 minutes, Hélio Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gertrudes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélio Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo dos Santos in the 36th minute of play forced Real Madruga's goalkeeper Fábio Pirani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldinho Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Manoel Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Pombal having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antônio Dias to make the kick off. Christian Sabóia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Gertrudes's Alexandre Teles got a free kick in the 55th minute. Real Madruga's Antônio Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antônio Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Pombal having to interfere. After having played for 62 minutes, Antônio Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madruga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antônio Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Breno Pombal made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Manoel Xavier sent off a good shot on target. Breno Pombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manoel Xavier got free with Breno Pombal in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Real Madruga's zone, Christian Sabóia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Pirani came out of the goal and Christian Sabóia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gertrudes's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Antônio Dias 78 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. When Osvaldinho Marques fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Madruga's protests and gave Osvaldinho Marques a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Osvaldinho Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandre Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 85 played minutes Real Madruga got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Zanette. Manoel Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Breno Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Manoel Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manoel Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Pombal having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Real Madruga walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
