Christian Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diamantino Luz went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Cervinho's Arnaldo Maia got control of the ball when Tadeu Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Washington Silveira in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Washington Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Christian Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Washington Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeu Valle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Arnaldo Maia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Arnaldo Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João do Valle in the 23rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeremias Pombal during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonas Custódio shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Christian Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Washington Silveira went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. José Paulo Monteiro's late challenge caught a Cervinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Paulo Monteiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tríade Football Club's José Paulo Monteiro got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute of the match Jonas Custódio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Azevedo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Arnaldo Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João do Valle in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diamantino Luz to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Vítor Prata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tríade Football Club and the Cervinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. Washington Silveira scored 0-3 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christian Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vítor Prata might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnaldo Maia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vítor Prata ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd minute João do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Washington Silveira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Christian Azevedo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 77thth minute of the game Diamantino Luz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tríade Football Club's Christian Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, João do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tríade Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but João do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cervinho's Arnaldo Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Valle in the 80th minute of play. João do Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Arnaldo Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Tríade Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Cervinho's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
