Cássio Vianna ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 18th minute, Ezequiel Catarinense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tesourinha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Kaká Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enéas Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Remune's Duarte Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clemente Loyola to make the kick off. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
