The tension between the Bemtevi and the Papageios SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hortêncio Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Wilton Bezerra sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Papageios SS's Jano Urbano didn't even have to move. Jano Urbano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bebeto Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Cássio Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilmar Pinheiro having to interfere. The wind increased when Bebeto Meirelles made the kick off in the second half.
