With a left leg Sidney Correia saved Ramalhete from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Paulo Cosme in the 9th minute of play forced Ramalhete's goalkeeper Sidney Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdir Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Valdir Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the game, Alexsandro Aparecido cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sidney Correia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Paulo Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Sidney Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Vítor Borges hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Pedro Paulo Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Correia having to interfere. Pedro Paulo Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sidney Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdir Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the game, Beleza's Valdir Leme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The penalty shot was made by Zé Carlos Maranhense, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ramalhete's Sidney Correia. 0-3. After some careless play in the Ramalhete defense, Valdir Leme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sidney Correia. The Ramalhete fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sidney Correia should have stopped the shot. Sidney Correia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valdir Leme went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After the first half Beleza were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Vítor Borges to make the kick off. Pedro Paulo Cosme's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Sidney Correia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ramalhete's zone, Pedro Paulo Cosme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidney Correia came out of the goal and Pedro Paulo Cosme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute Valdir Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Ramalhete's goalkeeper Sidney Correia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Paulo Cosme. Sidney Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Leme in the 61st minute of the match. Valdir Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Sidney Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sidney Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdir Leme in the 77th minute of play. The Beleza fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Beleza's Pedro Paulo Cosme looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 88 minutes into the match, Beleza's Valdir Leme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sidney Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Valdir Leme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beleza's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdir Leme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidney Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
