Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valdir Galvão started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Valdir Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esporte Clube Zephyr's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdir Galvão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Márcio Zilles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 5 minutes, Giovani Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esporte Clube Zephyr's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giovani Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 7 played minutes Giru got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Neves. Giru's Márcio Zilles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovani Quirino in the 9th minute of play. After 14 minutes of play, Esporte Clube Zephyr's Giovani Quirino made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Márcio Zilles was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 18 minutes, Luís Fábio Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esporte Clube Zephyr's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Fábio Sampaio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Giru's Cristóvão Neves got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Esporte Clube Zephyr's goalkeeper Vera Cabezon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Lira. In the 28th minute Valdir Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Zilles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Lira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Vera Cabezon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Esporte Clube Zephyr's Vera Cabezon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis Baptista in the 35th minute of play. Márcio Zilles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovani Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Márcio Zilles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdir Galvão, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. During the 45th minute of the match Anderson Fernandez completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Anderson Fernandez a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Giru's Anderson Fernandez got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute Valdir Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Zilles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Valdir Galvão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Márcio Zilles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benjamin Lira to strike the kick off in the second half. Márcio Zilles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Galvão in the 54th minute of the match. Valdir Galvão might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Márcio Zilles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdir Galvão ran back to his position shaking his head. Giovani Quirino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Márcio Zilles made a huge save. Conrado Rezende kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Valdir Galvão struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Márcio Zilles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esporte Clube Zephyr. In the 69th minute Valdir Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Zilles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Valdir Galvão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valdir Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Luís Fábio Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Zilles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Esporte Clube Zephyr walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
