Nuno Brasil came out of the goal and Pedro Luís Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Luís Penha was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Cornelius's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Buri EC's Nuno Brasil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Buri EC from getting a goal against them. Buri EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Paulão Hoffmann scored to the left of an out of position Nuno Brasil, making the score, 0-1. After 77 played minutes Pedro Luís Penha rounded Buri EC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Cornelius's zone, Valdo Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diguinho Velloso came out of the goal and Valdo Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Cornelius fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Cornelius's Artur Hermes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Valdo Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Buri EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdo Medeiros couldn't finish the play. Nuno Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luís Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Cornelius played a much better game than Buri EC and deserved their victory. The Buri EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
