In the last second Leonardo Carneiro throw himself and got hold of the ball when Alfredo Gitano in the 93rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Inetrnacional United-RS's Manuel Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Pirani in the 95th minute of play. Inetrnacional United-RS's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Recife Futebol Club had won, even though Inetrnacional United-RS had held more of the ball.
