With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donatello Soeiro in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Célio Dias saved Jauzinho AD from getting behind. Basílio Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. If Horácio Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gino Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Edgard Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jauzinho AD's Gino Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, Apua's Tiago da Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Célio Dias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 24 minutes of play, Jauzinho AD's Horácio Travassos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Baiano was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Jauzinho AD booed when Apua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Apua's Célio Dias threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Donatello Soeiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edgard Baiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horácio Travassos's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Apua's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Magalhães came free, but Edgard Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Jauzinho AD booed when Apua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Apua's zone, Gino Magalhães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Baiano came out of the goal and Gino Magalhães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Fabrício Monteiro hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Apua's Edgard Baiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Apua from getting a goal against them. When Jauzinho AD's Horácio Travassos in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Apua's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Jauzinho AD's zone, Donatello Soeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Célio Dias came out of the goal and Donatello Soeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgard Baiano was a little too slow when Horácio Travassos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 2-2. Edgard Baiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horácio Travassos's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Gino Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Baiano having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Jauzinho AD's goal looked a bit too open when Donatello Soeiro came free, but Célio Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jauzinho AD! Lino Cavalcante walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Célio Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago da Silva in the 97th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
