Sampaio Correia F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willian Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Korrila F. C. getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Cacá Lira hit a great ball. Tymoteusz Waselewicz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Willian Furtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Oscar Senna made a huge save. In the 12th match minute, Korrila F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir Toscano to maneuver through the defense. Robin Dickens kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Willian Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Korrila F. C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Armindo Schmidt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Oscar Senna stood somewhat misplaced when Willian Furtado came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 23 minute. When Moisés Rossi fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Korrila F. C.'s protests and gave Moisés Rossi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Korrila F. C. getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Moisés Rossi hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Korrila F. C.'s zone, Willian Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Senna came out of the goal and Willian Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Willian Furtado scored 2-0 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oscar Senna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Willian Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Oscar Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Willian Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Carlinhos de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Korrila F. C.'s Oscar Senna got control of the ball when Tymoteusz Waselewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Willian Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Oscar Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walmir Toscano to strike the kick off in the second half. When Willian Furtado came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Sampaio Correia F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willian Furtado couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Carlinhos de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sampaio Correia F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlinhos de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Paulão Mazza put in a rough tackle. When the match had been going on for 64 minutes, Korrila F. C.'s Cacá Lira got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Adhemar Pitta. Willian Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Senna having to interfere. In the 72ndth minute of the game Willian Furtado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Korrila F. C.'s Oscar Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Willian Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Willian Furtado might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oscar Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willian Furtado ran back to his position shaking his head. Tymoteusz Waselewicz charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tymoteusz Waselewicz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Korrila F. C. booed when Sampaio Correia F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tymoteusz Waselewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Willian Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wilson Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Senna having to interfere. Carlinhos de Castro struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Oscar Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sampaio Correia F.C. Willian Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Oscar Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Korrila F. C.'s Luís Gustavo Siqueira got a free kick in the 94th minute. Sampaio Correia F.C's Willian Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 99th minute, Wilson Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Sampaio Correia F.C were the better team. Sampaio Correia F.C's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
