The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wágner de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 15 minutes, Wágner de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cauan AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wágner de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Richard Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th match minute, Carahy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. If Wágner de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Wágner de Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Tande's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinícius Tepedino was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Tande to make the kick off. If Ricardo Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vinícius Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelsinho de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Vinícius Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Carahy's Caetano Saldanha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vinícius Tepedino in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Cauan AD getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Wágner de Souza hit a great ball. Richard Carvalho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Vinícius Tepedino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 78 minutes Cauan AD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tony Barros who took care of the corner kick. Carahy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tony Barros in the 79th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cauan AD's goalie and right to Richard Carvalho. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cauan AD's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cauan AD's zone, Richard Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinícius Tepedino came out of the goal and Richard Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cipriano Fernandez's late challenge caught a Carahy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cipriano Fernandez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st minute, Cipriano Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Richard Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Tony Barros sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cauan AD's Vinícius Tepedino didn't even have to move.
