Laerte Quirino might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silas Ramalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laerte Quirino struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Silas Ramalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moraiba. If Laerte Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian da Silveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silas Ramalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 42 minutes of play, Moraiba's Christian da Silveira made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silas Ramalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Giovanni Meireles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilherme Valladares in the 45th minute. Armando Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
