Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sílvio Luís Valle made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Penha in the 3rd minute of play forced Mateus's goalkeeper Luiz Hames to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Aluísio Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Perpetua booed when Mateus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benê Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Sílvio Luís Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perpetua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Luís Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Mateus's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Penha came free, but Luiz Hames reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 42 minutes, Aluísio Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mateus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aluísio Mazza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Antônio Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aluísio Mazza was the one to do the kick off. Mateus's Albertino Figueiredo got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rubinho da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aluísio Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 54 played minutes Perpetua got a freekick which was hit by Tião Leme. Mateus's Aluísio Mazza pulled a muscle in his back after 59 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 59 minutes into the game, Pedrinho de Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Perpetua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mateus the free kick. Rubinho da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertino Figueiredo in the 64th minute of play. Albertino Figueiredo charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albertino Figueiredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th match minute, Mateus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. Antônio Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Luiz Hames tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mateus's Luiz Hames proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Mateus from getting a goal against them. Albertino Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Rubinho da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Mateus getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Délio Quirino hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Albertino Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sílvio Luís Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Perpetua's Rubinho da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Figueiredo in the 89th minute of play. After 90 minutes of play, Mateus's Anísio Paraibano made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rubinho da Mata was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luiz Hames was a little too slow when Sílvio Luís Valle got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 1-1. Mateus were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
