Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Paulista's Egídio do Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tião de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Nilton Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dagoberto Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cláudio Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dagoberto Nogueira's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Alfredinho Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 24thth minute of the game Josué da Mata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paulista's Nilton Mota was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Paulista's Nilton Mota got control of the ball when Tião de Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nilton Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josué da Mata in the 28th minute of the match. Egídio do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Brito having to interfere. Paulista's Dagoberto Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Egídio do Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cláudio Brito came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Paulista's Dagoberto Nogueira. But to his dismay, Dagoberto Nogueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredinho Tróia during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th minute, Alfredinho Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cláudio Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Egídio do Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The Lucuri SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Paulista were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Josué da Mata was the one to do the kick off. Paulista's Dagoberto Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tião de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Nilton Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Paulista defense, Tião de Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nilton Mota. The Paulista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nilton Mota should have stopped the shot. Nilton Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Amílton Leite charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amílton Leite the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th match minute, Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton Leite to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião de Amaral in the 66th minute of play forced Paulista's goalkeeper Nilton Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tião de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Nilton Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Josué da Mata came free, but Nilton Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Josué da Mata came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Lucuri SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josué da Mata couldn't finish the play. If Josué da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilton Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josué da Mata in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilton Mota prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
