After 3 played minutes Garanhuns FC got a freekick which was hit by William do Vale. In the 4th minute, Dé Macedo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Garanhuns FC's Fabinho Prado didn't even have to move. Romeu Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabinho Prado having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Garanhuns FC got a freekick which was hit by Doni Linares. Iuri Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabinho Prado having to interfere. When Doni Linares fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garanhuns FC's protests and gave Doni Linares a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, Garanhuns FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doni Linares to maneuver through the defense. Bernardinho Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Anselmo Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Guilherme Magalhães cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Anselmo Damião was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guilherme Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Anselmo Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardinho Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Uaty SS's Anselmo Damião got control of the ball when Bernardinho Freire tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Garanhuns FC's William do Vale got a free kick in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bebeto Munhoz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Bernardinho Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hermínio de Queirós blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anselmo Damião having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bebeto Munhoz in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anselmo Damião saved Uaty SS from getting behind. Fabinho Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iuri Santos in the 69th minute of play. If Romeu Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Adrianinho Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Romeu Romero struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Fabinho Prado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uaty SS. Fabinho Prado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romeu Romero in the 82nd minute. 91 minutes into the match, Garanhuns FC's Hermínio de Queirós sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anselmo Damião narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Garanhuns FC's Fabinho Prado got control of the ball when Romeu Romero tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 97th minute, Iuri Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Garanhuns FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
