Mané Pires scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristóvão Quintal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 15 minutes into the game, Iomere's Hugo Hermes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toninho Gaspar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Nilton Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Jundia FC's Toninho Gaspar got control of the ball when Hélder Fernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Hélder Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Iomere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Fernandez couldn't finish the play. Nilton Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 25 minutes into the match, Jundia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilton Romero came free, but Toninho Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamin Moraes hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Hélder Fernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lauro Arantes during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st minute, Lauro Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilton Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Gaspar having to interfere. With a little luck, Jundia FC's Toninho Gaspar got control of the ball when Hélder Fernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Mané Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nilton Romero was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Jundia FC booed when Iomere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute of the match Benjamin Moraes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristóvão Quintal skillfully saved the ball. If Nilton Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Jundia FC booed when Iomere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristóvão Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Mané Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute César Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norberto Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Jundia FC's Toninho Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilton Romero in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd minute Nilton Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Hélder Fernandez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toninho Gaspar was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. 89 minutes into the match, Iomere's goalkeeper Cristóvão Quintal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mané Pires. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Iomere had won after a very even match.
