Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Válbson Porto took the kick off in the first half of the match. Alfredo Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Renato Vinhas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Wilton Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abaiba EC's Paulo Renato Vinhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Abaiba EC from getting a goal against them. Paulo Renato Vinhas was a little too slow when Alfredo Moreira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 2-0. When Fabiano do Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Curriola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano do Nascimento couldn't finish the play. When Curriola's Alfredo Moreira in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Abaiba EC's goalie prevented a goal. Válbson Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Róbson Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abaiba EC's Válbson Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Régis de Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Abaiba EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Régis de Azevedo couldn't finish the play. If Alfredo Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilton Dantas took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Renato Vinhas. Paulo Renato Vinhas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Moreira was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Abaiba EC's Róbson Barros threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Válbson Porto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Abaiba EC's Paulo Renato Vinhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Moreira in the 58th minute of play. Fabiano do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Paulo Renato Vinhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Curriola's Róbson Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Curriola from getting a goal against them. After 73 played minutes Abaiba EC got a freekick which was hit by Telmo Machado. Wilton Dantas's late challenge caught a Abaiba EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilton Dantas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Curriola getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Wilton Dantas hit a great ball. Róbson Barros acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 80th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Artur Fontes. If Alfredo Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilton Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Válbson Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 98 minutes into the match, Curriola's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson Porto came free, but Róbson Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 99 minutes into the match, Abaiba EC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Moreira came free, but Paulo Renato Vinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
