A beautiful save bye Abade FC's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 9 minutes, Lauro Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abade FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lauro Pernambucano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Totora SC's Lauro Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otávio da Rocha in the 16th minute of play. Ulysses Mangueira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Norberto Capixaba came out and tried to block the shot, but Ulysses Mangueira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Lauro Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abade FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lauro Pernambucano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Lauro Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lauro Pernambucano came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Abade FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro Pernambucano couldn't finish the play. Lauro Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro Mangueira having to interfere. Lauro Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Reis in the 36th minute of play. The Abade FC fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Abade FC's Lauro Pernambucano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Jean Monteiro was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 55 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Abade FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Totora SC a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ernani Ferreira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Abade FC's Norberto Capixaba. 2-1. Tiaguinho Matos hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Abade FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Barbosa came free, but Norberto Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lauro Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Lauro Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lauro Mangueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abade FC. Abade FC's Lauro Pernambucano got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Totora SC were victorious despite being under pressure from Abade FC for much of the match.
