Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Osmar Mazza kicked off to start the match. A hard shot by Erivaldo Torres from long distance, 4 minutes into the match, got Manfredo Freire's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Maurinho Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Osmar Mazza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manfredo Freire read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Horror SC's Geovanni Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurinho Pimenta in the 12th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Paulinho Porto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carazinho and the Horror SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Carazinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulinho Porto to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Horror SC's zone, Maurinho Pimenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovanni Freitas came out of the goal and Maurinho Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulinho Porto got his second yellow card in the match during the 21st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Carazinho getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Paulinho Porto hit a great ball. If Osmar Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 27 minutes into the match, Carazinho's goal looked a bit too open when Osmar Mazza came free, but Manfredo Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Osmar Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Horror SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Osmar Mazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manfredo Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sabino Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Osmar Mazza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Horror SC's Osmar Mazza got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ernani Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45thth minute of the game Enrique Carioca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Horror SC's Geovanni Freitas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Carioca in the 47th minute of play forced Horror SC's goalkeeper Geovanni Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernani Cearense to make the kick off. When Ernani Cearense came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Carazinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernani Cearense couldn't finish the play. After having played for 56 minutes, Ernani Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carazinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernani Cearense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nestor Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Ernani Cearense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Geovanni Freitas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Osmar Mazza took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manfredo Freire. Manfredo Freire dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ernani Cearense's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Geovanni Freitas firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 72 minutes, Enrique Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carazinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Carioca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maurinho Pimenta scored 1-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geovanni Freitas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Enrique Carioca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ernani Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
