Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After 2 played minutes Graminea AD got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Paraíba. Aluísio Paiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisinho Motta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. If Aluísio Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Graminea AD booed when Lajedao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Rosado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Graminea AD's Jardel Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivélton Valadares in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Graminea AD's Daniel Paraíba got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, Elivélton Valadares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sidnei Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jardel Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute Júlio Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisinho Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jardel Barral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delfim Lima in the 31st minute. Luisinho Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aluísio Paiva in the 33rd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Graminea AD's Júlio Coelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luisinho Motta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aluísio Paiva in the 46th minute of play forced Lajedao's goalkeeper Luisinho Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisinho Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Coelho in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Júlio Coelho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Delfim Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Elivélton Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean Sá's late challenge caught a Lajedao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean Sá helped the player get up and apologised. Raí Santana took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jardel Barral. Graminea AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Elivélton Valadares notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Graminea AD's Jardel Barral. Jardel Barral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luisinho Motta was a little too slow when Júlio Coelho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 1-1. 76 minutes into the match, Graminea AD's goal looked a bit too open when Delfim Lima came free, but Jardel Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lajedao's zone, Aluísio Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisinho Motta came out of the goal and Aluísio Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aluísio Paiva's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luisinho Motta firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 97th minute, Aluísio Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
