Ademar Araújo hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Acary SS's Oswaldo Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho de Queiroz in the 9th minute of play. Oswaldo Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago de Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 15 played minutes Fructal got a freekick which was hit by Tiago de Queirós. After a rather tough play, Fructal's Léo Bezerra got a free kick in the 19th minute. Thomás Silveira's late challenge caught a Acary SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomás Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. Oswaldo Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho de Queiroz in the 29th minute of the match. If Renan Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomás Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Oswaldo Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fructal's Luiz Guilherme Recife got a free kick in the 44th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renan Cruz got free with Hélder Hermes in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Sílvio Luís Machado made the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Oswaldo Pombal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 63rd minute, Renan Cruz made a precise shot to the right of Hélder Hermes. Fructal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Hélder Hermes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Léo Bezerra got his second yellow card in the match during the 67th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 68 played minutes Fructal got a freekick which was hit by Léo Bezerra. After a defensive mix-up in Fructal's zone, Renan Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélder Hermes came out of the goal and Renan Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oswaldo Pombal came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Fructal's Diguinho de Queiroz. But to his dismay, Diguinho de Queiroz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fructal! In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Acary SS. Aluísio Marquez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hélder Hermes. 2-1. Diguinho de Queiroz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Oswaldo Pombal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Acary SS's zone, Diguinho de Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oswaldo Pombal came out of the goal and Diguinho de Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sandro Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Acary SS's goalkeeper Oswaldo Pombal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomás Silveira. In the 95th minute, Diguinho de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diguinho de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Oswaldo Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Acary SS support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
