He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Acary SS reached it. When Sílvio Luís Machado came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Acary SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Luís Machado couldn't finish the play. If Ramiro Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Aratuipe's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luís Machado came free, but Giuseppe Mumbach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Messias in the 60th minute of play forced Acary SS's goalkeeper Oswaldo Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Linhares struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Oswaldo Pombal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aratuipe. 73 minutes into the match, Acary SS's Renan Cruz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giuseppe Mumbach narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
