Rogério Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Pinheiro in the 3rd minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Campozeiro Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Toscano came free, but Rogério Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Virgílio Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Passos AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgílio Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Paulo do Nascimento got free with Hugo Britto in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Campozeiro Football Club's Hugo Britto threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from José Paulo do Nascimento, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Virgílio Pinheiro took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogério Vasconcelos. Rogério Vasconcelos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. José Paulo do Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Hugo Britto made a huge save. Osvaldinho Faria's late challenge caught a Passos AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldinho Faria helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes Campozeiro Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Faria. In the 41st minute Virgílio Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Campozeiro Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Toscano came free, but Rogério Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A collision led to Passos AD getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Basílio Donato hit a great ball. Rogério Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio do Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severino Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Campozeiro Football Club's José Paulo do Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Paulo do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Hugo Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severino Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severino Toscano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Rogério Vasconcelos made a huge save. Hugo Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, José Paulo do Nascimento put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Hugo Britto. 97 minutes into the game, Virgílio Pinheiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rogério Vasconcelos. Virgílio Pinheiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Chants of Passos AD echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Campozeiro Football Club had held the ball for most of the match.
