Alencar's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olívio Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Betão Prado struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Evaristo Pombal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boim. The long shot by Arlindo Paiva in the 19th minute really tested Evaristo Pombal's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Elivélton Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 25 minutes into the match, Conrado Valle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olívio Souza. Boim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Conrado Valle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Betão Prado got free with Evaristo Pombal in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evaristo Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oséas Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Elivélton Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oséas Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evaristo Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oséas Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Noel de Queirós during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Boim booed when Alencar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Betão Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Pombal having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Evaristo Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betão Prado in the 55th minute of play. Evaristo Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Prado in the 56th minute of the match. Betão Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the game, Enrique de Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alencar the free kick. The supporters of Alencar booed when Boim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute of the match Cauan Novaes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olívio Souza skillfully saved the ball. In the 66th minute, Breno de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Arlindo Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Prado in the 72nd minute of play forced Alencar's goalkeeper Evaristo Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elivélton Mendes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olívio Souza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The Alencar players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
