With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Augusto Koehler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guilherme Xavier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Augusto Koehler having to make a save. José Augusto Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerônimo de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Jerônimo de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 19th minute Guilherme Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Augusto Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guilherme Xavier in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Augusto Koehler saved Taboinha from getting behind. Guilherme Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Taboinha's José Augusto Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerônimo de Brito in the 23rd minute of play. José Augusto Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 26 minutes, Jerônimo de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Japaratuba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerônimo de Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuca Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Moura in the 29th minute of play. Guilherme Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jerônimo de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jerônimo de Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Augusto Koehler was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Guilherme Xavier made the kick off in the second half. Jerônimo de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Xavier in the 60th minute of play forced Taboinha's goalkeeper José Augusto Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Taboinha getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Richard Moura hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Jerônimo de Brito reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of José Augusto Koehler. The goal made the score 0-2. In the 75th minute, Taboinha's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Guilherme Xavier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pedrinho Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Guilherme Xavier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jerônimo de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto Koehler having to interfere. Japaratuba FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
