After a defensive mix-up in Piuma SS's zone, José Maria Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Borges came out of the goal and José Maria Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 12 played minutes Piuma SS got a freekick which was hit by Raí Tróia. 13 minutes into the game, Escurinho EC's Aleandro Amorim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonso Borges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. José Maria Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Afonso Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Piuma SS's Afonso Borges got control of the ball when Aleandro Sarmento tried to sneak it across the goal line. A throw-in in the 21st minute of the game was made by Aleandro Amorim with Marcelinho Proença as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Franciszek Birkenhagen hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 24th match minute, Piuma SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franciszek Birkenhagen to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 29 minutes, Silvério Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piuma SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvério Tróia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Gernando da Costa could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Afonso Borges however easily saved by the left post. 40 minutes into the match, Piuma SS's Caetano Pacheco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renatinho Brasil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Tróia in the 41st minute of play forced Escurinho EC's goalkeeper Renatinho Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caetano Pacheco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Renatinho Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Caetano Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piuma SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Caetano Pacheco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renatinho Brasil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Caetano Pacheco made a kick off. Afonso Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria Lara in the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Aleandro Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Aleandro Sarmento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonso Borges. Piuma SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aleandro Sarmento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Afonso Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando da Costa in the 68th minute of the match. Afonso Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gernando da Costa in the 72nd minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Piuma SS's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando da Costa came free, but Afonso Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 played minutes Piuma SS got a freekick which was hit by Franciszek Birkenhagen. Piuma SS's Caetano Pacheco got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Escurinho EC's Renatinho Brasil got control of the ball when Silvério Tróia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Afonso Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Paulista in the 87th minute of play. Afonso Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Renatinho Brasil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piuma SS. Escurinho EC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
