The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Severo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Escurinho EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Escurinho EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felippe Prado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Timbú's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escurinho EC the free kick.
