Egídio de Alcântara who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Oséias Messias when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 10 minutes into the game, Gernando Paraense lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Oséias Messias. Oséias Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Paraense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Fabiano Chaves's late challenge caught a Marola FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Fabiano Chaves helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Floreal getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Luís Fabiano Chaves hit a great ball. Oséias Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernando Paraense, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Mário Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Floreal's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Fernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Davi de Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Davi de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denílson Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Gernando Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marola FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando Paraense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oséias Messias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gernando Paraense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mário Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oséias Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Paraense in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Floreal's Oséias Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio de Alcântara in the 59th minute of play. Marola FC's Gernando Paraense got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oséias Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 84th minute Egídio de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oséias Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egídio de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Floreal's goalkeeper Oséias Messias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Egídio de Alcântara took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oséias Messias. Oséias Messias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. When Denílson Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Floreal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denílson Fontes couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Marola FC were the better team. Marola FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
