With a left leg Luisão Faria saved Fortress F.C from getting behind. Fortress F.C's Luisão Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Peres in the 24th minute of play. Marcos Pombal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luisão Faria. Fortress F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Teodoro FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Dinei do Vale hit a great ball. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Teodoro FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marquinhos Cabral was slow to take the kick. During this time Fortress F.C's players had a chance to rest. Fortress F.C's Marquinhos Cabral was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but João Vítor Campidelis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 44 minutes into the match, Fortress F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Santos came free, but Luisão Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Virgílio Peres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serginho Miranda couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the match, Fortress F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Peres came free, but Luisão Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clemente Santos got free with Luisão Faria in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Virgílio Peres in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisão Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Vítor Campidelis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dênis Ramos's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Clemente Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Teodoro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Teodoro FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fortress F.C:s goal. In the 89thth minute of the game Dênis Ramos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Teodoro FC's João Vítor Campidelis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. João Vítor Campidelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serginho Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serginho Miranda in the 96th minute of play forced Teodoro FC's goalkeeper João Vítor Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
