Patrick Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Campidelis having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Christiano Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernani Campidelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrick Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Campidelis having to interfere. Jardel Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ernani Campidelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Himalaia's Percival Eger got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrick Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jardel Proença might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernani Campidelis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jardel Proença ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giuseppe Paiva during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Giuseppe Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Garcia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Timonha's zone, Percival Eger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Gaspar came out of the goal and Percival Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Timonha getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Diamantino Meira hit a great ball. Ernani Campidelis made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Jardel Proença sent off a good shot on target. Jardel Proença could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Ernani Campidelis made a huge save. In the 46th minute, Duarte Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Percival Eger to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Himalaia's Sidnei Mineiro got a free kick in the 55th minute. Ernani Campidelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Proença in the 62nd minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Himalaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe Paiva to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Himalaia getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Sidnei Mineiro hit a great ball. Jardel Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ernani Campidelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Himalaia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! Miguel Garcia placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Reynaldo Gaspar made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Sidnei Mineiro sent off a good shot on target. Himalaia's Percival Eger got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Timonha's Reynaldo Gaspar got control of the ball when Percival Eger tried to sneak it across the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Himalaia's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Proença came free, but Ernani Campidelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Percival Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jardel Proença's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernani Campidelis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Jardel Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Campidelis having to interfere. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Timonha's goalkeeper Reynaldo Gaspar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Patrick Cerezo hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Percival Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Himalaia's supporters rose to their feet, but Percival Eger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
