Lucas Freitas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Carlos Fernandes's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Davi Macedo charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Davi Macedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Davi Macedo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Zé Carlos Fernandes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Freitas was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Wesley Ferreira helped the player get up and apologised. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fluminense Football Club fully deserved thier win.
