Luís Guilherme Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Visão Celeste EC booed when Aguapaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Telmo de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Eduardo Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Carlinhos Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chico Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Amaral in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Visão Celeste EC's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Arósio came free, but Chico Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Visão Celeste EC's Chico Zanette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Amaral in the 23rd minute of play. After 23 minutes, Emílio Sarmento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Visão Celeste EC and the Aguapaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Visão Celeste EC's Emílio Sarmento got a free kick in the 24th minute. Aguapaba's Carlinhos Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Figueiredo in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauan Cerezo in the 32nd minute of play forced Visão Celeste EC's goalkeeper Chico Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Aguapaba booed when Visão Celeste EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 34 played minutes, Aguapaba's Roger Leme shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chico Zanette came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aguapaba reached it. 35 minutes into the game, Cauan Cerezo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Chico Zanette was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlinhos Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Emílio Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Visão Celeste EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emílio Sarmento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlinhos Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Waldir Arósio was the one to do the kick off. Chico Zanette made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Cauan Cerezo sent off a good shot on target. Visão Celeste EC's Chico Zanette proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Visão Celeste EC from getting a goal against them. Chico Zanette made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Guilherme Amaral in the 57th minute. Luís Eduardo Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Carlinhos Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Eduardo Varela in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlinhos Toscano saved Aguapaba from getting behind. Luís Guilherme Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Chico Zanette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magno Rocha lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Magno Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 72 minutes of play, Aguapaba's Gernando Toledo made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chico Zanette was left in no man's land by his defense there! Visão Celeste EC's Chico Zanette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Arósio in the 75th minute of play. Raphael do Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raphael do Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Raphael do Nascimento hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Emílio Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlinhos Toscano having to interfere. If Ramón de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Aguapaba getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Gernando Toledo hit a great ball. In the 89thth minute of the game Severino Mangueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aguapaba's Carlinhos Toscano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Visão Celeste EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Aguapaba's performance. The match ended with a win for Aguapaba.
