Visão Celeste EC were furious when Pedro Luiz Esteves was red carded, 14 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Visão Celeste EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Binga AD:s goal. Chico Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erivaldo Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 20 played minutes Visão Celeste EC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Figueiredo. After 22 minutes of play, Binga AD's Jacinto Carvalho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chico Zanette was left in no man's land by his defense there! André Luiz Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Erivaldo Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emílio Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Binga AD's zone, Severino Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Augusto Dantas came out of the goal and Severino Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the match, Binga AD's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Mangueira came free, but João Augusto Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramón de Andrade struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. João Augusto Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Visão Celeste EC. Gerson Catarinense's late challenge caught a Visão Celeste EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerson Catarinense helped the player get up and apologised. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erivaldo Jacinto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, André Luiz Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roger de Barros hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 55 minutes of play, Visão Celeste EC's Ramón de Andrade made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Augusto Dantas was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerson Catarinense in the 61st minute of play forced Visão Celeste EC's goalkeeper Chico Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramón de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. João Augusto Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Jacinto in the 74th minute of play forced Visão Celeste EC's goalkeeper Chico Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Erivaldo Jacinto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chico Zanette was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Chico Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute Gerson Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 played minutes Visão Celeste EC got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Sarmento. Jacinto Carvalho took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chico Zanette. Chico Zanette dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. The Visão Celeste EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Visão Celeste EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
