The referee showed Orlando Pena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 3 played minutes Faxinalsinho got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Pena. Claudinei Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséias do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Orlando Pena was shown his second yellow card after 4 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 5th match minute, Faxinalsinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Pena to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, Oséias do Nascimento dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Claudinei Gonçalves, 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Oséias do Nascimento dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Claudinei Gonçalves, 2-0. Claudinei Gonçalves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudinho Cordeiro in the 22nd minute. Laerte de Sena hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Claudinho Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Claudinei Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alexandria. After having played for 30 minutes, Kléber Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Faxinalsinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kléber Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34thth minute of the game Oséias do Nascimento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Faxinalsinho's Claudinei Gonçalves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Claudinei Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oséias do Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kléber Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Faxinalsinho's Claudinei Gonçalves got control of the ball when Claudinho Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oséias do Nascimento to strike the kick off in the second half. Oséias do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Gonçalves having to interfere. After some careless play in the Faxinalsinho defense, Claudinho Cordeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinei Gonçalves. The Faxinalsinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinei Gonçalves should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kléber Seco got free with Jorge Campidelis in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kauã Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Alexandria getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dé Oliveira hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Kauã Novaes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Laerte de Sena hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Jorge Campidelis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Elder Pirani. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséias do Nascimento in the 80th minute of play forced Faxinalsinho's goalkeeper Claudinei Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Alexandria's zone, Kléber Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Campidelis came out of the goal and Kléber Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the game, Alexandria's Claudinho Cordeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinei Gonçalves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Faxinalsinho's zone, Oséias do Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei Gonçalves came out of the goal and Oséias do Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudinei Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho Cordeiro in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Claudinho Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandria were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Faxinalsinho for a fine match.
