Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rubinho Trigo started the match with the kick off. Basílio Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauan Paranaense having to interfere. Kauan Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Paiva in the 7th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Canhotinho got a freekick which was hit by Jano Mendonça. Mauro Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zacarias Salgado in the 11th minute. With a little luck, Canhotinho's Mauro Azevedo got control of the ball when Zacarias Salgado tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 17 played minutes Canhotinho got a freekick which was hit by Nilson Eger. Rubinho Trigo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro Azevedo having to make a save. 22 minutes into the match, Pirituba's goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Mattos came free, but Kauan Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Fellipe Mattos made a precise shot to the right of Kauan Paranaense. Pirituba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Fellipe Mattos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kauan Paranaense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Zacarias Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Azevedo having to interfere. When Zacarias Salgado fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pirituba's protests and gave Zacarias Salgado a yellow card for diving instead. Kauan Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe Mattos in the 35th minute of play. Fellipe Mattos might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kauan Paranaense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fellipe Mattos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, Basílio Paiva got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kauan Paranaense was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Canhotinho's Fellipe Mattos got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Canhotinho getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Walmir Araújo hit a great ball. The supporters of Canhotinho booed when Pirituba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedé Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pirituba's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tiaguinho Novaes was slow to take the kick. During this time Canhotinho's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zacarias Salgado in the 81st minute of play forced Canhotinho's goalkeeper Mauro Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Kauan Paranaense successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 92nd minute, Rubinho Trigo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauro Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When the match was over Canhotinho could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pirituba throughout the match.
