Surubabel SS's Hortêncio Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th match minute, Surubabel SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Tróia to maneuver through the defense. Maurinho Veloso succeeded in the game's 16th minute to get real power on a long shot . Surubabel SS's Luiz Fábio Félix hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-0! The audience was convinced that Juan Vieira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinho Porto was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Claudinho Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Branco in the 22nd minute of the match. A collision led to Surubabel SS getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Germano Abreu hit a great ball. Sérgio Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fábio Félix having to interfere. Juan Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinho Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Branco in the 28th minute of play. Surubabel SS's Hortêncio Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute of the match Cafu Custódio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinho Porto skillfully saved the ball. Juan Vieira took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudinho Porto. Claudinho Porto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Juan Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hortêncio Branco made a kick off. Juan Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. In the 55thth minute of the game Hortêncio Branco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FESMZ.B.S.Francisco B.S.F's Claudinho Porto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the match, FESMZ.B.S.Francisco B.S.F's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio Branco came free, but Claudinho Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Hortêncio Branco took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Claudinho Porto to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Juan Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Surubabel SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinho Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute, Gualter Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Vieira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Claudinho Porto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match was over Surubabel SS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FESMZ.B.S.Francisco B.S.F throughout the match.
