The supporters of Cabeça de gelo booed when Ouricuri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armandinho Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdemar Moreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ouricuri's Armandinho Mota managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Juvenal Mazza in the 86 minute of the game. Nestor Rezende made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Antônio do Valle sent off a good shot on target. Aníbal Alagoano took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nestor Rezende. Nestor Rezende dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 92nd minute, one of Ouricuri:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ouricuri. After having played for 97 minutes, Aníbal Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ouricuri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aníbal Alagoano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ouricuri's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
