Luisinho Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnaldo Alvarenga having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Luisinho Tróia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Agnaldo Alvarenga. Tapiratiba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luisinho Tróia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manfredo Veloso got free with Carlinhos Motta in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute Giovanni Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agnaldo Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alianca AD's Luisinho Tróia in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tapiratiba's Agnaldo Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Tróia in the 41st minute of play. It was beautiful to see Tapiratiba's Iuri Mendes in action when he in the 44th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giovanni Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Alianca AD's Giovanni Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Agnaldo Alvarenga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Dinei Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tapiratiba booed when Alianca AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giovanni Seco took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agnaldo Alvarenga. Agnaldo Alvarenga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. With an all-out effort, Alianca AD's Agnaldo Alvarenga threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Giovanni Seco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 97th match minute, Tapiratiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmílson Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. Giovanni Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnaldo Alvarenga having to interfere. The Tapiratiba supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Alianca AD's performance. The match ended with a win for Alianca AD.
