With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlinhos Leme in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Aguiar saved Inimutaba from getting behind. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Inimutaba's goalkeeper Tomás Aguiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chico Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If Vivaldo Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walmir Tasso hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Manolo Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chico Alves in the 35th minute of play. Inimutaba's Tomás Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlinhos Leme in the 40th minute of play. Gernando de Carvalho hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Inimutaba's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Lara came free, but Tomás Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Carlinhos Leme notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Inimutaba's Tomás Aguiar. Tomás Aguiar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 89 minutes into the match, Inimutaba's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Lara came free, but Tomás Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Carlinhos Leme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corumbatai's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlinhos Leme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Aguiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Chico Alves got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Corumbatai's Manolo Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Corumbatai from getting a goal against them. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Corumbatai fans cheered their team off the field, for while Inimutaba had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
