Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Armando Lago took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Alberto Xavier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caraguatal SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Armando Lago scored to the left of an out of position Basílio Paranaense, making the score, 1-0. Daniel Zilles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Basílio Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basílio Paranaense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Fabiano Cardozo in the 17th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Murillo Arce during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Murillo Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Luiz Fabiano Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Basílio Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Paranaense having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Luiz Fabiano Cardozo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basílio Paranaense. Caraguatal SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Fabiano Cardozo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 31 minutes into the match, Espinhal's Armando Lago sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basílio Paranaense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 35 minutes of play, Caraguatal SS's Doni Baiano made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fausto Miranda was left in no man's land by his defense there! 41 minutes into the match, Espinhal's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Carioca came free, but Fausto Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Frederico Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fabiano Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frederico Leal to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fabiano Cardozo in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basílio Paranaense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Lago in the 52nd minute of play forced Caraguatal SS's goalkeeper Basílio Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basílio Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Lago in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basílio Paranaense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Armando Lago struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Basílio Paranaense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espinhal. After 68 minutes, Armando Lago made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Caraguatal SS's Basílio Paranaense tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th minute Luiz Fabiano Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Paranaense having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Espinhal's goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Leal came free, but Fausto Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Basílio Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Fabiano Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Basílio Paranaense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espinhal. After a defensive mix-up in Espinhal's zone, Doni Baiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Miranda came out of the goal and Doni Baiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frederico Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Miranda having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Espinhal players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
