Hélio Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráusio Severo in the 4th minute of play. Doni Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Baltazar Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doni Mesquita in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baltazar Cavalcante saved Ravenous FC from getting behind. Thomás Ceresso hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th match minute, Ravenous FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomás Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th match minute, Umba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Vasconcelos struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Hélio Severo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ravenous FC. After having played for 26 minutes, Dráusio Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ravenous FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dráusio Severo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulisses de Carvalho during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ravenous FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ulisses de Carvalho hit a great ball. Manuel Vasconcelos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hélio Severo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Manuel Vasconceloss short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Hélio Severo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hélio Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráusio Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The supporters of Ravenous FC booed when Umba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Berger didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dráusio Severo fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ravenous FC's protests and gave Dráusio Severo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, Dráusio Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doni Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Gualter Passos lost his temper 53 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 62 minutes into the match, Umba's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Vasconcelos came free, but Hélio Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Vasconcelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Romário Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ravenous FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romário Sá was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélio Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hélio Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Manuel Vasconcelos struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Hélio Severo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ravenous FC. In the 74th minute Manuel Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
